What is melasma?
Melasma is a very common skin condition and is treatable. The darkened skin discoloration normally appears on sun exposed areas of the face. Typically melasma occurs over the cheeks, forehead, nose or upper lip. Melasma doesn’t cause any other symptoms besides skin discolouration but may be of great cosmetic concern.

How does the treatment work?
The overproduction of melanin (triggered by excessive amounts of VEGF) is what causes the melasma to appear. The Dual Yellow laser transmits its light deeply into the skin to reduce VEGF (the root cause of melasma) without causing damage. By using the Yellow light combined with unique FEM ® TECHNOLOGY, we achieve long term results; avoid collateral damage, pain and other side effects – A truly ‘soft’ laser with real results.
